Meet Our Summer Intern, Esme!

Hi! My name is Esmeralda Salinas, but I also go by Esme. I graduated from UC Irvine last year where I studied Psychological Science, having transferred from Skyline College. I am local to the Bay Area, so I was excited to get matched with Girls on the Run Bay Area as an intern for this summer - a place I call home. I look forward to learning more about GOTRBA and seeing how I can get inspired on my own journey by promoting my fitness and having fun with it.

Growing up, I always enjoyed being on the go and trying to be active, so it feels as if I am stepping into my own little world and will be learning alongside the girls who are a part of the organization. I enjoy community outreach and connecting with others, so I see this as a great opportunity to get connected with the GOTRBA network. I also see it as an empowering environment to be joining and be a part of.

I hope to give back in my own way and can’t wait to grow with everyone this summer!
