Become A Site Liaison

Site Liaisons serve as the primary connection between Girls on the Run, the site, and the coaching team. Ideally, they are deeply connected to the site as an employee, engaged parent, or community member. Liaisons work with GOTR to ensure the team’s success and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main contact for participants, families, and GOTR staff.
  • Secure approval from the principal/site director and submit the site application.
  • Establish a positive relationship with school administration (if applicable).
  • Identify practice spaces and set the practice schedule.
  • Help recruit at least 2 coaches for the team* and promote participant registration using GOTR materials. Site Liaisons may also coach if they choose to do so.
  • Highlight financial assistance options to ensure inclusivity.
  • Meet with coaches before the season to review team logistics.

*If coaches are not secured, GOTR will assist in recruiting from the volunteer pool, subject to availability.
