As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting organizations that uplift women and girls, one of our members nominated Girls on the Run as a beneficiary for our next fundraising event.

Each year, Girls on the Run Bay Area welcomes more than 1,700 girls to lace up and discover their limitless potential. But here’s the truth: many of the girls who join us don’t have proper running shoes. We’ve seen participants show up in sneakers two sizes too big, shoes with holes, or even running in socks.

That’s why our Fall Shoe Drive is so important. As we welcome ~750 girls this fall, we believe every girl deserves to feel confident and safe while she runs, learns, and grows with her team. A good pair of running shoes isn’t just about comfort, it’s about dignity, safety, and belonging.

This year our goal is to provide 90 pairs of shoes to girls in the Bay Area.

When you give to our Shoe Drive, you’re putting more than sneakers on a girl’s feet. You’re giving her the chance to:

Practice safe running without pain or injury.
Feel included alongside her teammates.
Experience the joy of crossing the finish line with confidence.

It costs just $45 to provide a brand-new pair of shoes for one girl, or $80 to provide for two girls. Together, we can ensure that every participant this season has what she needs to thrive.
