Coach Spotlight: Coach Kristen

In her second season coaching, Coach Kristen sees coaching as an opportunity to be around kids again. Similar to Coach Anna, the role offers a break outside of the corporate work environment.

Looking back at her first season coaching Kristen said, “I was surprised because I thought this is so cool to be able to give back but I didn’t realize how much I actually got out of it myself. [...] It’s so rewarding to be able to see [the girls] blossom like they do and really develop this joy for something new that they maybe haven’t done before.”

Kristen highlighted one of the girls on her team who at the start of the season said she wasn’t very good at running. “She wrote it on a little notecard so no one would see and now she’s the one out here running laps around everyone. It’s just so cool to feel like you’re contributing to just them learning something that they love,” Kristen said.
