Meet Our Intern, Phoebe Bridges

Hi! My name is Phoebe Bridges, and I am beyond excited to be interning with GOTRBA this summer! I will be a senior at St. Ignatius this fall. I have participated in sports such as lacrosse, soccer, and field hockey throughout my childhood. However, it was during my sophomore year that I discovered a passion for running and decided to join my school's track team.

Running is a truly remarkable activity that offers numerous benefits for both the mind and body. When I joined the track team my sophomore year I was quickly welcomed by some of the most motivated, kind, and determined people. Running is commonly referred to as an individual sport, but to most people’s surprise it is also a great community. The main reason I found so much appreciation from the running community was the exuberant love and support I felt from my coaches and teammates. Running has been such an amazing outlet for me growing up, which made interning at GOTRBA such an incredible opportunity. I was thrilled to not only share my deep love and passion for running, but was also excited to help serve my community. I love that GOTRBA focuses on self-worth, inclusivity, and confidence. It’s extremely rewarding to be part of an organization that empowers young girls in such meaningful ways!

As I look forward to the rest of the summer, I am eager to continue learning and watching what it takes to manage a nonprofit organization. It's been inspiring to witness how GOTR continues to enhance and improve its impact.
